What We Do How We Link to the Medical System |
|
 |
The Full Circle Fund is committed to the highest possible standards of clinical practice, research, audit and evaluation.
Our Clinical Advisory Team which is made up of leading national experts both
in the fields of haematology, oncology and palliative care medicine and complementary
therapies,
assists
us in achieving these aims.
Full Circle is committed to working within the NHS and with healthcare professionals
to provide responsible and effective integrated care before, during and after
chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. In collaboration with other academic
institutions, we will also undertake rigorous research to
add to the evidence base for integrated care.
We fully support the work of The Prince of Wales's Foundation for Integrated
Health www.fihealth.org.uk and
we support that medical and nursing schools are now addressing this issue by
including programmes about complementary medicine for medical and nursing students.
What is integrated healthcare?
Integrated healthcare is the vision of healthcare to support the human being as a whole, through their treatment journey for cancer, leukaemia or bone marrow failure.
Do we subscribe to "Alternative Therapies"?
No. Our intention is to provide therapies that are complementary to conventional treatment and are safe, supportive and self-empowering for the individual before, during and after conventional medical treatment. |
